Austin, Texas

The Parker Lane 12-inch Water Line project was a segment of a larger project called "Vargas Road/Parker Lane Street Reconstruction, Overlay & Utilities." TCE was retained by the City of Austin under the Engineers' Rotation List contract to design the Parker Lane water line segment. Martinez, Wright & Mendez Engineers, Inc. was the engineer of record for the rest of the project. The total project cost was $1,900,000.

The project involved replacing the existing undersized water lines in Parker Lane and reconnecting services. The project entailed construction of 3,200 linear feet of 12-inch-diameter water line. System looping was accomplished where intercepting water lines were encountered. New fire hydrants were installed to facilitate fire protection.
